Phyllostachys arcana ‘Luteosulcata’ seedlings – 2019 – Photo gallery
Photos, photos,…
This time, I decided to upload more photos and use less words. I think I wrote practically everything already. There’s nothing new regarding the seedlings, they upsized nicely and now grow as expected.
Dark culms and branches and extremely pale leaves. Nice contrast. The older culms look a lot darker than new growth. Damage on older leaves is mostly due to sun exposure during previous summer. Variegation of the third seedling. This one is much hardier and doesn’t get sunburnt that easily. Seedling number one. Second seedling is a bit darker. It is however at least as delicate as the first seedling when it comes to bright sun exposure. Nice variegation of Phyllostachys arcana ‘Luteosulcata’. Two variegated seedlings started ‘invading’ each other, growing in the same raised bed. Yelow leaves and very dark sun-tanned culm. Very bright coloration Extremely pale variegation of the first seedling. Another example of the third seedling’s variegation. Comparison of variegated seedling and the larger, non-variegated seedling. Leaves on 1 year old culms are not as delicate and pale. The variegation pattern looks great!
